Ciarán O'Connell is a film graduate from UCD Dublin and has been producing and directing award winning documentaries since 2017.

Having lived in South Korea, Chile, New York, San Francisco, Brussels, Porto, Berlin and Melbourne, Ciarán is a staunch supporter of solo-traveling and language learning.

His documentaries have been screened in several countries on television and at multiple film festivals, winning awards for Transsiberia (2020) and (This Is China 2022)

The two films have been translated into three languages and are used in the curriculum at Japan Visualmedia Translation Academy.
